TEDxAntananarivo “Time to go green” … What the heck a TED talk is?

TEDxTana TED madagascar blogsherpa TEDxAntananarivo “Time to go green” … What the heck a TED talk is?

So we all know that Madagascar is also called “the red island”- which unfortunately refers to its soil bleeding red through its rivers. For a biodiversity hotspot, that’s not something we can be proud of. So when a TED fellow invited Madafan to be part of a wonderful experience called “TEDxAntanananarivo- Time to go green”, well I didn’t hesitate one second and accepted to promote this project,  as long as it has something to do with preserving Madagascar’s environment, I’m in TEDxTana TED madagascar blogsherpa TEDxAntananarivo “Time to go green” … What the heck a TED talk is?

The embarassing thing is that,… hmmm, well, I don’t actually know what a TED is TEDxTana TED madagascar blogsherpa TEDxAntananarivo “Time to go green” … What the heck a TED talk is? Chances are that you don’t either … So here is the deal (ssshhhht, I haven’t been allowed to do this from the official organisers, but let’s play the game)… I tell you what I know as of today about TED, then you add more of what you found out about what’s around TED (what is it? how does it work? …)in the comment section.

1- What I know about TEDxAntananarivo

- it will happen at Café de la Gare on November 26th 2010, starting 2 PM and ending with a diner/cocktail. They say we’ll have people talking about “ideas worth sharing”. In fact it will be an independently organized TED event where Madagascar will probably be  used as a “framework” for the ideas worth sharing.

- it’s an invite only event where bright people implementing awesome ideas meet and exchange (let’s negotiate with the organisation team to give one invite to the best commenter on this post.. LOL, there’s got to be a prize for those who contribute, right?)

- I’m a twitter-person, so I know that the guys behind it are tweeting about the event at @TEDxTana and that involved parties use the #TEDxTana hashtag . HINT: following this twitter account AND RT-ing will help promote the event, but also set you as a valuable contributing-person about the topic

- I’m also on facebook (who isn’t BTW?), and I know that they have a facebook page . HINT: Liking this facebook page would give you an advantage for knowing more about this event.

2- What do you know about TED or TEDxAntananarivo?

Well, I’ll be more than glad to discover it with you … Comment here, like the facebook page, tweet and RT your findings

UPDATE: The TEDxAntananarivo date has changed to November 27th 2010. It has also moved to the Madagascar Development Learning Center in Anosy
