Visa fees are free up to december 2009
We all know that Madagascar has been through troubles those couple of months. This ended up with a lot of issues arising for the tourism industry whereby hotels had to close or do huge promotion (sometimes up to 50%) in order to get the ball rolling.
As an additional incentive, and since the peak touristic season is about to begin, authorities and professional tourism association came to an arrangement where the visa entry for a less than 30 days stay in Madagascar will not be charged anymore.
Moreover, the National Tourism Board is now working on releasing the “no-go” advice that some foreign countries has imposed to potential tourists while doing their best to insure tourists’security while visiting Madagascar.
As an additional note, please find below the official communiqué that Madagascar’s National Tourism board issued with regard to the current crisis
Since we know that most of tourists are still concerned about coming to Madagascar due to the current crisis, do you think this will help attract tourists? And if you are a tourist, do you think those measures will relieve any doubt you may still have?
