Anosy is a region in the south of Madagascar that is worth discovering (ok, you may say Madafan always says that any part of Madagascar is worth discovering .. but that’s the truth so why should I refrain from repeating it).
Anosy is also the most touched by dryness and the “kere” (starvation) phenomena- yes, everything ain’t bright and shiny in Madagascar. While waiting for more informations about this raid from the organisation team, here are some details about this raid that I can already share wih you: the main goal is to attract participants for this wonderful experience. Moreover, while subscription fees per participants is 150 €, the organising team will give all the benefits to the Care NGO in order to fund their interventions in this Anosy region.
So you may think, what:?I have to pay 150€ in order to participate. Think twice, and if it still doesn’t convince you, consider the following:
- the motto for the raid is “sport, adventure and encounters”
- if that still doesn’t convince you, be advised that you’ ll trek for 130 km during 3 days with some fellow trek-lovers
- still not convinced? What about getting into 3 bivouacs
- come on. Still hesitating? What if we say you’ll be through 4 different ecosystems. That’s worth the effort to participate?
- so you think it’s too easy for you, if you’re looking for some tough things (at least I think it’s a tough one), consider that you’ll have to climb at 2300m. Interesting?
- If I still didn’t convince you to participate with all those arguments, then I’ll only say: treat yourself right while showing your love for this country, and especially the south part.
